This Vintage Horlick's Malted Milk Jar has raised letters advertising instead of a paper label.

The jar reads Horlick's Malted Milk M.M. Trademark Racine Wis U.S.A.

The jar itself was made by the Hazel Atlas Glass Company between 1920 to 1950.

Nice condition overall but it has some glass manufacturing irregularities on one section of the lower edge.

This jar has an old mismatched lid that is a little too small, but protects the rim nicely. It looks like the jar and lid have travelled together for a while.

The jar is about 10 5/8 inches tall and 5 1/2 inches wide.

It holds about 3 1/2 quarts.

James Horlick invented malted milk in England, and moved to Racine Wisconsin to manufacture and sell the product. I suspect that the odd volume of the jar coincides with British measurement standards.
