Reissue Remaster Dire Straits: Amazing Guitar - Live at the BBC

As I mentioned before, I'm a fan of American rock, and I was shocked to discover a band (musician) with such a sound and guitar style emerging from the UK. That band is Dire Straits, which I'm offering again this time.

Until then, British music was mainly hard rock and progressive rock, with heavy aesthetics and "crying" guitars being the standard. I was shocked to hear the dry guitar sound coming from Dire Straits, which wasn't typical of British bands, drawing influence from country and western music.

Mark Knopfler's guitar playing produces a dry sound, making him a rare guitarist in the UK. I consider him one of the "Big 3" dry-sounding guitarists, along with Jim Messina (Buffalo, Poco, Loggins & Messina) and John Hall (Orleans).

After Dire Straits' single "Sultans of Swing" reached No. 1, they quickly became the top British band. This is a live recording from the BBC, known for recording live performances of bands like Led Zeppelin (and many masterpieces by The Beatles, The Kinks, etc.).

This work is a masterpiece of a live album, with Knopfler's guitar and sound quality being superb, making it very popular, and it's still not sold at a discount. Although their studio recordings had a lighter sound, this live performance had powerful guitar work and playing, which further shocked me.

I have listed 5 records, 6 CDs, and 3 DVDs of Dire Straits so far, but I've reached an age and situation where I need to organize my collection, so I'm listing this CD as well. (I'm also listing other works.)
