This 1 Liter Dewar flask is ideal for short-term storage of ice water dry ice-solvent and liquid nitrogen. Chemical-resistant HDPE double walls are filled with CFC-free urethane foam and withstand temperatures from -196°C to +100°C. Vented insulated HDPE cover. It features molded-in ribs cover securing tabs pour spout and bottom grip area for added safety. Convenient polyethylene-coated bail-type handle. Shatterproof. Warning! Do not use cryogenic vials for storage in the liquid phase of liquid nitrogen unless correctly sealed in Nunc CryoFlex™ tubing. Such use may cause entrapment of liquefied nitrogen inside the vial and lead to pressure build-up resulting in possible explosion or biohazard release. Use appropriate safety procedures as outlined in the Nalgene Cryopreservation Manual when handling and disposing of vials.
